VCE HIGH ACHIEVERS
The VCE High Achievers Program was an initiative of the senior sub school in 2004 that aimed to identify those students who were aiming at high ENTER scores and to provide specific assistance for them. The increase in the per-centage of students achieving study scores above 40 is some evidence of its success and the program has continued. There is a larger number of students participating each year. The effort of those teachers who are providing this extra tuition is greatly appreciated and is one of the many tasks that they have added to their workload.

VICTORIAN CERTIFICATE OF APPLIED LEARNING
(VCAL)
This alternative to VCE is a recognised senior qualification. The VCAL program focuses on 'hands-on' learning and is designed to increase students' opportunities of gaining an apprenticeship or job of their choice or moving onto TAFE after leaving school.
As well as giving students practical work experience, VCAL provides young people with literacy and numeracy competencies and the opportunity to build personal skills that are important for life and work. Refer to Careers page - VCAL
