SISTER SCHOOL

Rosebud Secondary College has a rich tradition of academic, sporting and performing arts successes. This tradition has continued in recent years with the development of cultural and student exchange programs that are a model for many schools and include a strong sister school relationship with Gamagori-Higashi Senior High School in Japan.

INTERNATIONALISM and rosebud secondary college

Over the years Rosebud Secondary College has been host to many International and Exchange students from a wide selection of countries. These include Denmark, Japan, Thailand, Germany and Indonesia.

International opportunities at Rosebud bring cooperation, tolerance and harmony to students from all nations. Rosebud Secondary College promotes tolerance for all and the many opportunities provided through the international connections with the College allow the broader perspective of multiculturalism to be experienced by its students.

At any one time, the College is home to a number of exchange students who quickly feel at home. Easy interaction with students and teachers on a daily basis in class leads to involvement in extra curricula activities provided by the College.

The excitement of overseas exchange programs comes in various forms and all can be experienced at Rosebud. The choice is there for all students to go on exchange. Students are also encouraged to take up the opportunity of experiencing short term exchange programs organised by the College to Japan, Indonesia and America.

Hosting overseas students who attend the College on short study tours has also provided a wonderfully rewarding experience for both the students and their parents who make the decision to accept these students into their homes.

The College hosts several short term study tours each year and greatly appreciates the dedication of the parents who become involved.

The international experience is a valuable one and the College encourages its students to take up the global challenge and become involved!
