Rosebud Secondary College has an amazing team of talented staff making up the Performing Arts faculty who devote their energy and creative flair to the education of their students.
Rosebud Secondary College conducts performing arts classes out of state of the art facilities including a theatre, which has a seating capacity of 320 and provides our students with an advanced flooring system for dance classes, stage lighting capabilities and stage for drama classes. Our music students utilise a range of instruments and ICT within our music classrooms including keyboards, guitars and percussion. Instrumental students work with our highly trained instrumental staff in purpose built practice rooms located in the music department.
Our talented students performed to packed audiences in this year's school musical, ‘Seussical the Musical' featuring strong performances by both senior and junior students at the college and last year saw RSC win second place in the Raw division of Rock Eisteddfod. RSC's students have also been involved in Victoria's ‘Joining the Chorus' since 1998. Our college band is invited by the community to play at many events throughout the year including the Mornington Peninsula shire's Australia Day Breakfast and at cluster primary schools.
Student leadership is encouraged within the performing arts by providing plenty of opportunities for our student leaders in Dance, Drama and Music to be involved in various performance nights. Our performing arts scholarship holders are heavily involved in all aspects of the performing arts.
With our wonderful facilities, dedicated teaching staff and talented students, the Performing Arts at Rosebud Secondary College will continue to flourish.
